Krakul, the IoT and autonomous systems design company, has signed an international design partnership agreement with u-blox, the global technology leader in positioning and wireless communication.
Under the agreement, u-blox will work closely with Estonia-based Krakul to develop innovative solutions for mutual customers.
Krakul has been selected by u-blox given their impressive track record with prestige projects such as having recently worked on a stereo camera solution for NASA’s Artemis lunar program in conjunction with Maxar Technologies.
Krakul and u-blox have already joined forces to deliver a solution for Ampler e-bikes.
Jaan Hendrik Murumets, CEO of Krakul, said, “It is great recognition for us that u-blox, a giant of positioning and wireless communication, has chosen Krakul as a design partner. Solutions produced by u-blox can be found all over the world in sports watches, cars, drones, e-bikes, and more,” said Murumets.
According to Murumets, the partnership means that u-blox can confidently introduce customers who need solutions to fit their specific needs to the Krakul team. “Krakul is one of a specific selection of companies in the world that u-blox has chosen as a design partner, so it is a great recognition of the competence of our engineers,” said Murumets. “u-blox’s customers range from large global companies to exciting new start-ups, so we may have exciting business opportunities in store.”
Neil Hamilton, Global Head Service Sales at u-blox, said, “u-blox technology enables lower cost, mass-market products and solutions to be developed. We are looking for expert partners who understand specific technology areas such as autonomous vehicles and low-power wireless development. We see Krakul demonstrating prowess in these areas and this attracted us to pursue a more in-depth relationship. u-blox can scale our business via Krakul with these expert competencies.”
